Running a small business or freelancing means producing a steady stream of documents that look official but do not justify a subscription. An invoice. A quote. A receipt. A signature on a form that arrived as a PDF.
These tools generate those documents as clean PDFs you can send immediately — invoices and quotes with correct tax handling and running totals, receipts, resumes, handwritten-style or typed signatures as transparent images, plus timers and timesheet calculators for tracking the hours behind them.
The invoice generator handles the details that matter for getting paid: sequential invoice numbering, itemised lines with quantities and rates, tax applied at the correct level, payment terms, and your own business details and logo. It produces a standard PDF, not a link to a hosted page that expires.
Because everything is generated locally, your client list, rates, and business details stay on your device. That is a meaningful difference from hosted invoicing services, which necessarily store your customer relationships and pricing on their infrastructure. Nothing here is transmitted, and nothing is retained after you close the tab — so if you need to keep records, save the generated PDF.
What an invoice needs to contain
Requirements vary by country, but most jurisdictions expect the same core set: the word 'invoice', a unique sequential number, the issue date, your business name, address and tax registration number, the client's details, an itemised description of what was supplied, the amount before tax, the tax rate and amount, and the total due. Payment terms and bank details are practical additions rather than legal ones.
Sequential numbering matters more than people expect. Tax authorities generally require invoice numbers to run in an unbroken sequence so that a missing number is visible, and gaps invite questions during an audit. If you void an invoice, keep the number and mark it void rather than reusing it.
What an electronic signature actually is
In most jurisdictions — including under the US ESIGN Act and the EU's eIDAS regulation — an electronic signature is legally valid for ordinary commercial agreements, and an image of your signature placed on a document generally qualifies. What gives it weight is evidence of intent and of who applied it, not the visual fidelity of the mark.
Higher-stakes documents can require more. Wills, some property transfers, and certain court filings often demand a wet signature or a notarised one, and regulated contexts may require a qualified electronic signature backed by a certificate. A signature image is right for a contract, an invoice approval or a consent form; check the requirements before relying on one for anything that would be contested.
Frequently asked questions
Are my client details and rates stored anywhere?
No. Everything is generated in your browser and nothing is transmitted or retained. This is a real difference from hosted invoicing services, which necessarily store your client list and pricing on their servers. The practical consequence is that you must save each generated PDF yourself — closing the tab discards everything.
Are invoices generated here legally valid?
They contain the fields most jurisdictions require, but validity depends on your local rules, which vary and change. The generator is a formatting tool, not tax advice. Check the requirements for your country with your accountant or tax authority, particularly around tax registration numbers and invoice numbering.
Is a signature image legally binding?
For ordinary commercial agreements, generally yes — electronic signatures are recognised under the US ESIGN Act, the EU's eIDAS regulation and equivalent laws elsewhere. Some documents are excluded, including wills, certain property transfers and some court filings, which may require a wet or notarised signature. Check before relying on one for anything high-stakes.
Can I add my own logo and branding?
Yes. Invoices, quotes and receipts accept your logo, business details and payment terms. The logo is read and embedded on your device like any other file here, so it is never uploaded to us.
