Financial calculators are not financial advice

Our loan, mortgage, interest, tax, and salary calculators produce estimates using standard published formulas and the figures you enter. They are useful for orientation and comparison. They are not advice, and they are not a quote.

Real figures differ from calculated ones for reasons including:

• Lenders apply their own fees, rounding conventions, and day-count methods.
• Interest may be compounded on a different schedule than assumed, and rates may be variable.
• Tax rules vary by jurisdiction, change over time, and often depend on circumstances a calculator cannot know.
• Insurance, charges, and taxes are frequently bundled into real repayments and excluded from simple calculations.

Before making a financial decision, confirm the numbers with your lender, accountant, or a qualified financial adviser. We are not licensed to provide financial advice and nothing on this site should be treated as such.

Health calculators are not medical advice

BMI, body fat, and calorie calculators apply population-level formulas. They are screening indicators, not diagnoses, and they are known to be unreliable for individuals — BMI in particular does not distinguish muscle from fat and is a poor guide for athletes, older adults, pregnant people, children, and several ethnic groups for whom the standard thresholds were not derived.

Do not use these tools to diagnose a condition, to decide whether to seek treatment, or to justify a significant change in diet or exercise. Speak to a doctor or a registered dietitian, who can account for the things a formula cannot.

Generated documents are templates, not legal instruments

Invoices, quotes, receipts, resumes, and signatures generated on this site are formatting conveniences. We make no representation that any output satisfies the invoicing, tax, record-keeping, or electronic signature requirements of your jurisdiction. Requirements for a valid tax invoice in particular vary substantially between countries and change over time. Check with your accountant or the relevant authority.

File processing

Our tools process files inside your browser. They are tested, but no software is flawless, and browsers vary in how they handle unusual or malformed files.

Always keep an unmodified original of any file before processing it. Because your file never reaches our servers, we have no copy and cannot recover or reconstruct anything for you. Verify output before deleting an original or sending a processed file onward.

Some operations are inherently lossy. Compressing an image or a PDF discards data permanently. Converting between formats can lose features the target format does not support — such as layers, transparency, embedded fonts, or form fields.

Security tools

Passwords, tokens, and hashes are generated locally using your browser's cryptographically secure random number generator and the Web Crypto API. Nothing is transmitted.

That said, security is contextual. For credentials protecting anything of real value, a dedicated password manager that generates locally and stores encrypted is a better tool than any web page, including ours. Our encryption tools are appropriate for casual protection, not for safeguarding information whose exposure would cause serious harm.
